Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure for your skin. Your Medical Aesthetician uses a special instrument (blade) to exfoliate the top layers of your skin which provides many benefits! Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars and other skin imperfections by turning over newer, healthier skin. This will help to unclog pores, make your skincare be able to penetrate deeper into your skin and clears away unwanted peach fuzz- and no, it doesn't make the hair grow back thicker or darker!

Who is a Candidate

Who is the best candidate for Dermaplaning?

Almost everyone! You might consider Dermaplaning if you have skin concerns such as: acne scars, cctinic keratosis (scaly skin patches), dull or dry skin, peach fuzz (light, soft hair on your face), skin damaged by sun exposure, fine lines and wrinkles.

Who isn't a good candidate for Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is not suitable for those who have active acne, an active cold sore, eczema, psoriasis, skin burns such as those from the sun or radiation therapy.

If you are struggling with acne, we can still help! We have other treatments that are better suited for you such as chemical peels and/or laser facials. Please book a skin consultation to get a more comprehensive plan. If you are prone to cold sores, that is no problem. Please let us know before hand so we can provide best pre and post care and a prescription.
