What is Microneedling

Are you searching for a transformative skin treatment that targets multiple concerns and leaves you with a radiant complexion? Look no further than microneedling, the revolutionary procedure that has taken the beauty world by storm. With its impressive range of benefits, microneedling is a game-changer for individuals looking to rejuvenate their skin and achieve a youthful, glowing appearance. Let's dive into the world of microneedling, exploring what it does, its targeted effects, and the plethora of benefits that make it a must-have treatment for anyone over the age of 30.

When it comes to minimally invasive treatments, Microneedling is clinically proven and is perhaps the most successful treatment available for the common signs and symptoms of aging such as wrinkles, loss of skin volume, and larger pores. This Microneedling treatment even targets the epidermis in such a way that it is clinically proven to minimize scars and stretch marks. Microneedling therapy triggers the body’s spontaneous healing process, stimulating cell proliferation and causing the formation of new collagen. This results in a thicker, more supple, cellular matrix.

Targeted Effects of Microneedling:

Collagen Boost: Collagen is the structural protein responsible for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to the formation of wrinkles and sagging skin. Microneedling kickstarts collagen synthesis, resulting in plumper, more youthful-looking skin.

Wrinkle Reduction: The increased collagen and elastin production prompted by microneedling helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing out the skin's texture and promoting a more even complexion.

Scar Reduction: Microneedling's ability to stimulate collagen formation makes it an effective treatment for minimizing the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. Over time, the scars become less noticeable as the skin undergoes natural remodeling.

Hyperpigmentation Correction: Microneedling can help even out skin tone by breaking down excess melanin and encouraging a more uniform distribution of pigmentation. This makes it a valuable tool in addressing concerns like age spots, sunspots, and melasma.

Enhanced Product Absorption: The micro-channels created by the needles allow for improved absorption of topical skincare products. This means that the active ingredients in serums and creams can penetrate deeper into the skin, maximizing their efficacy.

Microneedling Benefits

As we age, our natural production of collagen and elastin decreases. It is this decrease in production that causes the various signs of aging to appear. Many people have facials to help reduce the signs of aging and hydrate their skin; however, the results achieved during a traditional facial are rather short-lived. To attain longer-lasting results, you should consider a microneedling treatment (aka collagen induction therapy).

Both collagen and elastin are vital to attaining more youthful looking skin. The collagen makes the skin strong and the elastin makes the skin flexible (adding flexibility to the skin allows it to spring back into place). Today, collagen induction therapy has become one of the most popular treatments performed among skin care enthusiasts.

Microneedling has many incredible benefits. Some of our favorite include the improvement and appearance of: Fine lines and wrinkles, Scars (including acne scaring), Stretch marks, Skin imperfections, Sun damage, Melasma, Stimulates collagen growth, Brightens and tightens the skin.

In conclusion, microneedling is a remarkable skincare treatment that offers a plethora of benefits for individuals over the age of 30. By stimulating collagen and elastin production, targeting wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation issues, and delivering a host of rejuvenating effects, microneedling stands as a powerful tool for achieving radiant, ageless beauty. So why wait? Embrace the wonders of microneedling and unlock a revitalized version of yourself that radiates confidence and grace.

Right after the treatment, you will notice redness and swelling of the skin. This is all perfectly normal as that is the way that the skin begins to heal. This reaction does not last long and fades drastically within hours. The skin deescalates from being red to being pink within a couple of hours. This pink tinge can last from 12 to 24 hours on average. In the days following, the dryness will continue and may do so for up to 3 days. As well, the skin begins to exfoliate, ridding itself of dead cells. It is important to use a hydrating and soothing cleanser on your skin as it will be quite dry after this procedure. Another great way to hydrate the skin is by using hyaluronic acid. It is also very important to remember to protect the skin with a strong SPF, as your skin is very sensitive to the sun after this procedure. Please note that you need to avoid facial products with AHA’s, BHA’s, vitamin A or Retinol for a minimum of two days.

This is highly dependent on the severity of the condition of your skin. You should begin to notice a difference within 2-6 weeks of your first treatment. However, your skin will continue to improve over 6-12 months. You will see the best results from the six months to a year range.

We uses very fine needles to promote skin stimulation and skin rejuvenation. This treatment differs from other heat-based technology as the skin does not burn during the treatment and there is no skin coagulation. There is almost zero risk and a significant decrease in the number of potential side effects.
