Spider Veins
Spider veins, the tiny red or purple clusters of veins commonly found on the face or legs, are one of the most common vascular conditions, but their presence in highly visible areas is not always ideal. Luckily, we can treat most spider veins- we offer laser treatments to safely and effectively remove these veins without surgery or downtime.

Spider Vein Causes
Also known as telangiectasias, spider veins are named for the way they branch out across the skin like spider webs. These veins are typically not a cause for medical concern, but their cosmetically-unappealing presence causes thousands of men and women to get them removed every year. Spider veins can be caused by a variety of factors. Spider veins on the legs are primarily caused by gravity as the blood attempts to pump from the legs back up to the heart. On the face, spider veins can be caused by:
- Sun exposure
- Aging
- Genetics
- Trauma
- Certain medical conditions
- Excessive smoking or drinking

What can I expect after the treatment?
Your spider veins may appear bruised or dark red following treatment. This discoloration will fade in a few weeks. Brown discoloration may take several months to fade. You’ll need to wait 4 to 6 weeks before the next treatment. Your body’s absorption of the veins continues for few weeks. Some spider veins may disappear immediately after a treatment.
Will I have a chance to try before the full treatment?
Yes. Your laser technician will test the laser on a small area. The technician will then assess your response to the treatment, and any side effects you might experience.
How does the laser treat spider veins?
The laser’s heat energy is attracted to small spider veins near the surface of the skin. When the vein absorbs the heat from the laser, the blood insider the vein coagulates. Eventually the vein closes and is naturally absorbed by the body.
